As a member of NOSA, Thursday nights are yours! Get out on the water, sharpen your skills, and race alongside your fellow members all summer long.
Whether you're a seasoned competitor or just finding your sea legs on the start line, the Club Racing Series is for you.

2026 Series Information
When: Every Thursday Night
Season: May through August
First Race: May 21, 2026
Burgers: Prior to races (~5:15pm)
Warning Signal: 6:00 PM
Where: Vernon Sailing Association
Location: Okanagan Lake – Vernon Arm
No charge for NOSA members to participate in races
Staff, volunteers, members and friends are welcome to join in the fun!
A maximum of three races may be sailed each evening depending on conditions and race committee discretion.

Don’t own a boat? No problem.
Many skippers are looking for crew throughout the season, and racing is one of the fastest ways to improve your sailing.
Come down before racing and we’ll help connect sailors with boats!

Courses are selected each week based on wind and conditions.
Windward / leeward courses
Around-the-buoys racing
Distance races
Short tactical races
Boats are scored using the Portsmouth / Yardstick scoring system.
Results & Standings
Weekly results and season standings will be posted throughout the summer.

Thursday Night Racing is more than competition — it’s one of the best parts of summer at Vernon Sailing Association.
Racing is governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing. Official sailing instructions are available at registration and posted at the clubhouse.
